Video Review: Max Brenner Chocolate Bar

Hi Guys,

For our latest blog review we decided that we wanted to try out something a little different. Instead of just writing about the restaurants we decided why not do a live version. We decided to do a vlog of us going to a restaurant and trying out the food. However, because this is our first time we didn't know to go about doing it. So we decided to use this as an experiment and learning experience in case we decided to do more of these in the future. Because this is our first time doing with we decided to go with a restaurant that was familiar to us ( at least one of us) instead of a new unfamiliar environment. Anyway thanks for watching and please keep in mind this is our first time. Enjoy the video.

Don't forget to check out Max Brenner Chocolate Bar and we hope you find it as good as we did.

P.S The audio isn't great when we speak so you may have to put volume up to here us speak. Also our reactions may not show it ( due to being nervous about being on camera) but we really did enjoy the food and thought that it was delicious.

We started off with the sashimi platter which was served on a bed of ice along with a stainless steel bottle of liquid nitrogen as well as four different dipping sauces. Just YUM !!!

With the price that Sokyo charge, we are expected to receive high quality and food service. However, it was imressed and we had an excellent dinner.

The Vogue Cafe

Each time that I've visited The Vogue Cafe, I have left being deeply satisfied with the quality of the drinks menu and customer service they have to offer. Ranging from milkshakes, to smoothies, to shakes and hot drinks, The Vogue Cafe places a great deal of effort into creating delicious drinks that not only taste good but also looking pleasing through. The creatively presented toppings that come alongside the milkshakes add to the creative presentation of each drink. I would say that these drinks, especially the milkshakes and smoothies suit individuals with a sweet tooth, in saying that the drinks them self are tasty yet sweet, in that individuals who are not used to overly sweet drinks may feel dissatisfied.

Iced chocolate shake (left) + Chocolate and raspberry smoothie with grated coconut (right)

From the picture I took above, I tried the chocolate and raspberry smoothie with finely grated coconut. Overall I was surprised to see that the texture and consistency of the flavor left me in heaven. The drink itself was sweet in that the coconut pieces added to the sweetness of the drink, which in my opinion had a lovely taste at first however after finishing half the drink, the sweetness overruled the taste of the other flavors in the drink. I would say this drink was presented very well, it was accompanied with kitkat pieces, raspberry lollies and cherries within the topping.

Nutella Milkshakes

The picture I took above is of Nutella Milkshakes accompanied with lollies and walnuts. During the first time I visited the Vogue Cafe, I was surprised to see that Nutella Milkshakes were actually a thing, being a lover of chocolate I decided to try it out. Overall I loved it, this drink wasn't as sweet as i expected it to be however was sweet enough to satisfy my taste buds. I was able to finish the entire milkshake without feeling the drink was overly sweet, I would recommend this drink to all nutella lovers out there.

Overall I enjoyed visiting The Vogue Cafe on both occasions and would definitely go back another time. However this time I would love to try a few of the food dishes they have to offer.

Rashays Pizza Pasta Grill Restuarant

Rashay's is a casual dining restaurant, as the name suggest the restaurant offers pizza, pasta and grilled food. There are 14 restaurants located within the Sydney Region itself! From my experience dining at Rashay's, I have loved the quality, taste and presentation of the food served to me.

From the picture below, I ordered the Mini Rashay's Chicken and Chips alongside a Nutella Frape. In my opinion the chicken was cooked very well and was cut into thin slices which allowed the juices to go through the chicken. My favorite part of this dish was the mushroom sauce that accompanied the chicken, in my opinion it tasted amazing in that the texture was so nice and yum! The Nutella Frape drink was of average quality, it wasn't as sweet as I had expected it to be in that it somewhat tasted like a normal chocolate milkshake.

The picture below is from a night out with a bunch of family at Rashay's, as a family it was our first time visiting Rashay's so we decided to try a variety of dishes. I ordered the Original Rashay's Chicken which was delicious and this is when I first fell in love with the mushroom sauce. I also tried a bit of the Oven Roasted Schnitzel which was cooked to perfection, it tasted very nice in that it had a bit of a crunch. The salad to accompany both dishes was yum, in saying that I love feta cheese. The Chilli Prawn Fettuccine was also cooked nicely and tasted great, the amount of chilli in the dish was of perfection and the pasta was very creamy.

Overall Rashay's is a great place to dine at with family and friends, where the food is tasty and of reasonable prices. The customer service at Rashay's will not leave you disappointed, as I have met some of the most friendly staff whilst dining who are truly customer focused.

Chinese Yum Cha

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Yum Cha also known as going for dim sum, is a southern (mainly Hong Kong and Guangzhou) Chinese style brunch tea which involves drinking traditional Chinese tea and eating dim sum. As Cantonese people tend to avoid fried foods early in the day, steamed dishes dominate most dim sum menus. There are also snack sized portions of pan fried, deep fired and steamed food served in bamboo steamers which are designed to be eaten communally and washed down with tea.

In general, people go to Yum Cha with families, co-workers and groups of people so it is also a common choice for people to get together and catch up. There are various ways in which the food can be served.

In the early 60s, dim sum was sold by the restaurant people who are called traditional Chinese, literally means staff. However, it is not commonly used by customers now days, most of the time would be calling handsome guy in English for males or pretty lady for females.

When eating dim sum, staff in restaurant walks around with a basket loading different types of dim sum in it. Later, dim sum that have been prepared in advance in the kitchen would be served in a trolley with heating function. This  allows customers receive hot and fresh food quickly. However, this traditional way has been changed to ordering directly in some some restaurants.

Love this pig Bun, sooo cute.
